Construction

We invest in people and relationships. O'Connors directly employs 100 staff in South Australia, across all areas of our business whilst maintaining good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Our Construction sites are managed by strong supervisors and leaders who are formally qualified in first aid and safety supervision.

Our sites are managed by supervisors and leaders, formally qualified in first aid and safety supervision.

We focus on making programme gains where possible and maximising our communication and connection with your site team to improve scheduling outcomes and final delivery.

We construct functional multi discipline mechanical services systems and our approach to this is centered around focusing on the deliverables and working collaboratively with stakeholders.

The framework for the system deliverable elements is principally established via our Engineering Work Breakdown Schedules (EWBS) and Project Documentation Registers by discipline. The content of these schedules detail the contract deliverables, and become a part of both the integrated data base in the BIM Model and contract program. Our ISO 9001 accredited QA system includes formal documented processes by which we progress the works which include embedded risk management “gates” directed at compliance.

Our construction planning is essentially driven by Principal created requirements of time, space, deliverables, cost and an intent to innovate. We consider that optimum value results when the construction planning process commence in the early stages. The approach complements our preference to partner ongoing risk/options analysis in terms of implementation efficiencies, supply chain issues, off site prefabrication and on site build.

Our construction teams comprise indentured tradesmen led by qualified and experienced supervisors whom maintain the strict standards of compliance and safety our systems demand, and are enabled to link into the respective information and data bases.
